Frami and Katla enjoing the good weather.
I just received few pictures from the final night in the Masters League last friday.:) Bergur and Elin were chosen the most professional riders of the League 2017. Our team Gangmyllan was in third place in the team competition and was chosen the most entertaining team in the Masters League of 2017.:) In the riders competition as we know Bergur won, Elin was in 5th place and Freyja in 14th place, riding only 4 of the 8 disciplines and her first year in the MD.
The third and last winter tölt at Sleipir was held yesterday. In the open class tölt Freyja Amble Gíslasdottir was the winner, riding Glampi frá Ketilsstöðum. Second place was Brynja Amble Gísladóttir riding Goði frá Ketilsstöðum, in the sixth place was Elin Holst riding Herdís frá Lönguhlið and seventh place was Esther Kapinga riding Fróði frá Ketilsstöðum. In the amatuer class Berglind was in the fourth place, riding Simbi frá Ketilsstöðum. The winner of all the winter competitions was Brynja with two x 1st place and one 2nd place. Freyja was in the second place with one 3rd place and one 1st place.
Bergur Jónsson in team Gangmyllan is the champion 2017.):) He won the Masters League 2017. What an evening, it was very, very exiting to the very end.
This morning we are on the road again, few days after the latest Masters League competition and the old start list is still in the car. Early early morning on the way to the last MD training 2017, it's 4th of April and still snowing.
A picture from the herd, this winter.
Here are two pictures from the Masters League yesterday. Bergur and Flugnir frá Ketilsstöðum on a shared 9th place in PP1 Pace test and Ævar Örn Guðjónsson riding Vaka frá Sjávarborg in 7th place in 150 m. pace.
No words needed :)
Some pictures taken backstage on our last clinic with Júlio Borba, that was great as always.
Brynja and Goði won the tölt competition in our club Sleipnir today.:)
:Dam is Vænting frá Ketilsstöðum and sire is Álffinnur frá Syðri Gegnishólum.
From the Masters League last Thursday, pictures taken by Óðinn Örn Jóhansson.) All our three competitors in top 10.
Frami and Elin in third place, Bergur and Katla in sixth place and Freyja and Goði in ninth place.)
All our riders are on the top 5, Elin 1, Bergur 2 and Freyja 5, and team Gangmyllan on the top so far in the team competition, not bad!)Three disciplines are finished and five more to go.
Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.
Olil had a class at Ylva Hagander, Fors gård. There I met among others, Tígur from Ketilsstaðir, Mr Butt, newly sold to Sweden, owner is Cecilia Göransson. Mother of Tígur is Ljónslöpp from Ketilsstaðir and father is Álffinnur frá Syðri Gegnishólum.
We had some great times.:
We had greaW
While trainin today we noticed that more than half of the horses in the riding hall were from Hellubær and that Vaka, that great gæðingur is the mother of them all. We had to taka a picture of course. Far left is Váli going 6y old sire Kiljan from Steinnes then Viðátta going 5y old sire Ljóni from Ketilsstaðir and the youngest one is nn. going 4y old sire Brimnr from Ketilsstaðir. Vaka was an endless gæðingur and I think she has the highest score for riding abilities as a 4y old 4 gaiter ever with a total score of 8,48, there of 9,5 for trot, canter and slow tempo canter and 9,0 for tölt, form under rider and willingness. Vakas mother is Gola frá Hellubæ who is a daughther of Gáski from Hofsstaðir and Feykir from Hafsteinsstaðir. Four of Vakas offsprings have got 1st price. We are very lucky to have a fourgaited daughther of hers in our breeding, her name is Védís with 9,5 for slow tempo tolt and slow tempo canter like her mother and brother, Vestri from Hellubær. A precious quality when it is hard to find horses with good canter.
Two years since our advertisement with a picture of Bergur and Katla were put on the wall in the riding hall of Sprettur. Tonight Bergur and Katla won the Gæðingafimi discipline in the masters league helt in the same ridinghall.
